Why does my lower abdomen make gurgling noises when I lay on my stomach?

It just recently started, I'm sixteen... and whenever I lay on my stomach an inch or two below my belly on makes noise. It's highly unattractive and uncomfortable to listen to. It happens after I exhale every now and then. What is causing this?
