Married filing jointly, do I have to report my income that is less then $5,000?

I worked for a month out of the year, and made only $2,800 something gross. Do I have to put this information in on our tax return since it was under the limit, or do I have to claim it? I'm just not sure if I have to count my husbands income towards it as a whole, or if they still go by the individual?
