Bacteria resistance? (developed or already acquired)?

As far as I know they develop resistance. This is due to mutations in their genes occurringg that are favourable to the bacteria for surviving the antibiotic. The bacteria with this new mutation are more likely to survive so the mutation will become more prevalent in the population due to natural selection.
