Can Michael Phelps out-swim a shark?!

If you have seen my other questions on the great man, I asked why he doesn't swim the Atlantic Ocean to prove what a swimmer he is. And someone responded saying "When he feels like being eaten by a shark" - well, I seriously think he may have the potential to swim faster than a shark, what with his little 'outboard motor' legs! Discuss.....
