Is there a special kind of wallpaper to cover wrinkled plaster walls?

My home was built in the early 1900s, and I am looking to cover two walls in my kitchen with wallpaper. I am looking for a more contemporary style. The walls are fairly wrinkly plaster, and I don't have drywall in my budget! Help!
