I have a pretty serious sore throat, should I go to school?

I hate my group in English cl, they want me to act as a girl (Rebecca Black) and I'm like "wtf..." right?.. So I have a deep voice, and they want me to go high... They have a much higher voice than I do, so why don't they do it? But they don't want to. Now I have a sore throat and it feels like theres blood in my throat because it feels a bit chilly on one spot. My parents are saying that I'm just using the "group acting" as an excuse. Although I really don't want to act and use a high voice, what about my sore throat? I think its going to be a start of a cold. I want to stay home, what do you think?...
