Anyone gotten a gastric byp and regretted it?

i want it. my husband says he doesnt want me to. he thinks ill die or hate myself afterwards. ... i think he just doesnt want me thin.. he likes big girls. i want to walk without pain, i want to get off insulin, i want to live to see my grandkids... any comments??
